Under the vision ‘People-centered Community of Peace and Prosperity’, Korea has been implementing the New Southern Policy together with ASEAN and India since 2017. As a result, we have seen substantial achievements in mutual visits, trade&investment, peace, and so forth. 

In November 2020, facing the challenges posed by factors such as COVID-19, Korea has upgraded the New Southern Policy into the New Southern Policy ‘Plus’, which embodies 7 initiatives for further cooperation; public health, education, culture, trade & investment, infrastructure, future industries, and non-traditional security. This clip features the footprints we took as we carried out the New Southern Policy for the last 3 years, and our vision and hope for future cooperation with ASEAN and India, represented in the New Southern Policy Plus.
