Camp for ASEAN and Friends’ Engagement (YCAFE)” in 2024. The program aims to bring together ASEAN and Korean youth who are interested in promoting ASEANKorean cooperation in the Indo-Pacific region. Also, following last year, we will have our friends from YSEALI(Young Southeast Asian LeadersInitiative) joining us this year.
The main objectives of the programs are (i) promote closer ASEAN-Korea partnership through increased understanding and awareness among the youth in the region, (ii) raise awareness on the common challenges facing the Indo-Pacific region and identify the role of youth in promoting peace and prosperity, (iii) build networks and facilitate exchange and communication among the youths of ASEAN, Korea and the US.

1. Recruitment Overview
○ ASEAN Participants: ASEAN Youth who are recommended by ROK Embassies in Southeast Asia
○ Requirements
- (under) graduate level university students from ASEAN Member States (between 19~29 years old)
- commitment to the entire program - fluent in English
- interested in ASEAN-Korea relations, developments in the Indo-Pacific region.
○ Activities: Team discussions on given topics, research, work on policy proposals on ASEAN Connectivity, cultural programs
○ Documents Needed: Application form & Privacy Waiver, Certificate of Enrollment, Documentary proof of experience (if applicable)

○ Venue: Orakai Daehakro Hotel(180 Yulgok-ro,Jongno-gu, Seoul, ROK) (TBC)
○ Hosted by: Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Korea
○ Participants: 42 Youth from ROK(15), ASEAN(22)(including YSEALI*alumni) and US(5)

○ Team Composition: 5-6 people 1 team (Total 8 teams, randomly assigned)
○ Agenda: Indo-Pacific Youth Policy Talks: Enhancing Regional Connectivity
