2025 Global Korea Scholarship for Undergraduate Degrees
The National Institute for International Education (NIIED) under the Ministry of Education of the Republic of Korea is inviting talented Singaporeans to participate in '2025 Global Korea Scholarship (GKS) for Undergraduate Degrees.'
The application guidelines including qualifications, required documents/forms for submission, and all other necessary information are attached.

O Bachelor’s Degree: 5~7 years (1 year of Korean Language+4~6 years of Degree Program)

O Application Period: September 12 - September 30, 2024
O Announcement of the shortlisted applicants for interview: October 4, 2024 (Fri)
O Interview: Afternoon of October 14, 2024 (Mon)
The interview date cannot be changed, and the interview time will be individually notified only to those who pass the document review.
O The 1st Selection result announcements (individual notification): October 15, 2024 (Tue)
O Announcement of the 2nd round of selection result: By late November 2024 (GKS Notice on the website, www.studyinkorea.go.kr)
O Announcement of the 3rd round of selection result: By December, 2024 (GKS Notice on the website, www.studyinkorea.go.kr)
O Announcement of the final round of selection result: Expected by January 3, 2025 (GKS Notice on the website, www.studyinkorea.go.kr)

Eligibility
O Applicants must hold Singaporean citizenship and their parents must hold non-Korean citizenship
O Applicants must be under 25 years of age (born after March 1, 2000))
O Bachelor’s degree program is for applicants who graduated (or are expected to graduate) from JC /MI or Polytechnics. Applicants who have a bachelor’s degree cannot apply.
O Applicants who are expected to graduate (as of December 31, 2024) must first submit the certificate of expected graduation at the time of application. If such applicants pass the first round of selection, they must submit a graduation certificate (or a degree certificate) by December 31, 2024.
O Grades : All applicants must have maintained the overall grade point average (CGPA) equivalent to or higher than any ONE of the following from their respective universities:
- 2.64 on a 4.0 scale;
- 2.80 on a 4.3 scale;
- 2.91 on a 4.5 scale;
- 3.23 on a 5.0 scale; or
- Score percentile: 80% or above on a 100 point scale or be ranked within the top 20% within one's class
O Applicants must check additional restrictions or eligibility set by each degree university. (Please check if there is any additional eligibility set by each university/department. Some department of degree universities may have additional requirements (e.g. TOPIK Level 4) for enrollment.)
O Applicants must choose THREE different desired universities and available fields of study among 64 universities listed in Appendix C (Type A + Type B) of the attached guidelines. The university for Choice 1 must be selected only from Type B universities. Be careful not to confuse it with Choices 2 and 3.

2. Document submission:
O To ease applicants’ preparation of documents, Korean Embassy will accept all documents in photocopies
Submission requirements: ONE(1) sets of application documents in photocopies
* No need to be apostilled or consular confirmed
O After the announcement of the 1st Selection result on October 15 2024, GKS candidate(1) and back up candidates(1) will be required to submit ONE Certified true copy (with an apostille by the Singapore Academy of Law) document and THREE additional photocopies of the apostilled or consular confirmed documents by no later than 21 October 2024 (Mon). You only need to submit one original copy of the recommendation letter. After confirming the sealed submission, the embassy will make copies
* If you are applying from overseas and cannot submit the apostilled documents in time, please submit all application documents (1 original+3 photocopies) at the time of your initial submission.
